GRAN PARADISO 4061m
GRAN PARADISO 4061m
The Gran Paradiso, standing at 4061m, is the only 4000-meter peak entirely in Italy and is located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park. Its summit can be reached via two normal routes with similar difficulty levels: one starts from the Federico Chabod Refuge (2710m), and the other from the Vittorio Emanuele II Refuge (2732m), both accessible on foot from the town of Valsavarenche, following beautiful trails that in summer are filled with vibrant colors, where it's not uncommon to encounter a majestic Ibex.
CLIMB YOUR FIRST 4000m PEAK
This is an ideal climb even for those approaching high-altitude mountaineering for the first time.

SCHEDULE
Day 1: Meet with the guide for a gear check and briefing on the itinerary. We’ll drive to Valsavarenche and then hike to either the Chabod or Vittorio Emanuele refuge, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night. (Elevation gain: 900m; time: 2-3 hours.)
Day 2: Wake up early for breakfast before dawn. With headlamps, we’ll climb a short moraine section to reach the glacier that leads to the summit. Once there, we’ll put on our crampons and continue roped together up to the final ridge. It’s an easy but exposed section, and with a few simple climbing moves (I/II grade), we’ll reach the Madonna statue at the summit.
For the descent, we can either retrace our steps or take a stunning loop by heading down to the opposite refuge from where we stayed.
NOTE: The meeting time and location will be confirmed upon booking.
